ANOTHER Travel Blog: What Makes This One Different?

Travel blogs: you’ve seen them before and you’ll see them again. With globalization and accessibility to travel increasing, more and more people have the desire and ability to travel intra- and internationally. As a result, the internet is flooded with people advising on where to go, what to see, and what to do. In fact, you can even find specifics on luxury travel, family travel, eco-travel, volunteer travel, and my (very amateur) expertise in budget travel. So why would this blog be any different?

I’ve asked myself that very question over and over again, which has led to the very procrastination and eventual publishing of this blog & website. I’ve used existing travel blogs for inspiration on where to plan my next trip, watched videos from notable YouTubers on the best sites in each location, and I’ve read testimonies from travelers in countless groups (shout out to GLT: Girls LOVE Travel®). Why would I even have the audacity to publish a collection of travel advice when everything is already available at your actual fingertips?

The answer is simple, yet beautifully complex: it’s about experience. Too often these blogs you’ve come across unfortunately list the same information you can find by doing a quick Google search. You can find the most popular things to do and the most Instagram-able places to post. What is missing is the most fundamental aspect to my kind of travel that is beyond affordability: it’s personal, meaningful experience.

What you can expect from this collection of writing, videos, and photos is budget-friendly travel tips rooted in EXPERIENCING these destinations. You’ll be invited to consume content about locations around the world not just related to food you should try, but tastes you’ll be tantalized by; not just music to listen to, but authentic sounds that will spark your senses; not just excursions to go on, but genuine encounters with people that are ethical and advantageous for both parties.

If you’re not ready to experience places in the way I have mentioned, and would value more traditional, popular vacationing: there’s no judgment here. You do you. I invite you to return here if and when you’re ready. However, if the foundations of what this site is about is something you can get down with: welcome to EmVenture Travel.
